5 out of 5 stars (June 30th, 2013)After church, we treated our Papa to brunch at Brasstown Valley Resort. PAUL: It was in a lodge so had like the wood sort of feeling. The table and chair legs were made of actual wood with like fake bark on it. They had three buffet sections. Main course. Dessert. And a person who makes waffle and omelets just how you ask for them! In the lounge area, there was a huge fireplace. It is actually the biggest I have ever seen. I got a lot of stuff. Biscuit. Bacon. Sausage. Bagel with cream cheese. Crispy french toast. Fruit loops. Excellent food. The crispy french toast was kind of nifty. It was french toast coated in Rice Krispies. You would think they would be kind of really sweet...it was not like that. It didn't taste anything like Rice Krispies. It was awesome! Our server was very friendly. He came back on a regular basis to see how we were doing. He offered us orange juice. I took it. It was fresh squeezed. There was a lot of pulp in it, meaning it was freshly squeezed. And it tasted fresh. Not like the store bought, Florida's Natural Orange Juice. It was just squeezed in the back! As you can see, I ate way too much. I had a tummy ache the rest of the day. My parents say this is just for special occasions. I hope there is another special occasion soon because I really want to go back. SAM: I really liked the omelette. I got to pick out whatever I wanted in the omelette! But, I didn't like the mushrooms in my omelette. I made a mistake of getting the mushrooms. I liked the bacon in my omelette. Bacon is my favorite. I really liked the biscuit. And I really like the half bagel. Fruit loops. We never get to have Fruit Loops at home.
